hello bandmates . i'm here to blog again . hmm . it seems that this blog is rather stagnant eh ? . maybe i should consider giving the username and password to some of you ; to make this blog more lively , with more comments too . i mean . i can't be the only person blogging everytime because after all , i'm not the only person in the band . hmm . these few practices seemed okay , although friday's one was a bit disappointing because not many came . brass sectionals , i'm not too sure what happened . woodwind sectionals was not too bad . but i still can't hear much . needs more projection of sound , especially lower woodwinds . take note of intonation for flute and oboe . clarinets need balance ; more support from 2nds & 3rds . 1st just need to take care of intonation . yeah . continuing the practice on saturday . basic formation drills uh ? . i thought it was fun doing them . but there's just no FOCUS . so, it beats the purpose of having good formation skills . didn't know what really happened after the break because i was at the Meet-The-Parents session thingy . so, maybe some of you could enlighten me on that . went in for combined practice and i found out that Howl's Moving Castle was not bad after all . but still, there's room for improvement . for Overture Jubiloso , still not as good yet because i think that there's a slight imbalance at certain parts . lower woodwinds was superb . well done . finally i can hear what they are playing , especially bassoons . WHEEE . euphoniums and trombones can probably come out more if they have the melody . higher woodwinds ; please work on your intonation and running notes . yeah . so, i hope that there will be improvements in these areas . your soon-to-be sec 01 juniors should be coming on thursday . so, please help to make them feel more welcomed in band . THREATEN or BRIBE THEM IF YOU MUST . haha . kidding lah . lols . but yeah , the main thing is to try and get as many people in band . hope that the number will be as what we expected or maybe even more . even if we get a lesser number , don't be disheartened by it. sometimes, we just have to make do with it . yeah . anyways, anyone care to update about Anglican's concert ? . please tell me if you do or want to update . that would be all for now . i'll update another time . just another announcement i'd like to make . Amanda will be one of the webmasters of the blog too . yeah . okay . i'll see you guys around in school or something , or the next band practice . CYA .
